The Cup of Life (La Copa de la Vida) was the second single released from Ricky Martin's album, Vuelve (1998). Topping the charts in several countries, it became the official song of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. That year, France beat Brazil 3-0 in the final match to clench their first title.

SONG OF THE tuesDAY
Written by Shakira and John Hill, Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) features South African band Freshlyground and was the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. That year, Spain was crowned victor after beating the Netherlands 1-0 in extra time.

SONG OF THE wednesDAY
Lonnie Donegan's World Cup Willie can be found on the album, Rock Island Line - The Singles Anthology. It was used as the theme for the 1966 FIFA World Cup, hosted by England. World Cup Willie is a lion who wore a Union Flag jersey and was the first World Cup mascot in history.

Hot-Hot-Hot was written by Arrow and featured on the 1982 album, Hot Hot Hot. It's been used in a ton of movies and TV shows and was the official theme song for the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. Argentina beat West Germany 3-2 that year for their second title. They won their first in 1978.

La La La (Brazil 2014), featuring Carlinhos Brown, is a remix of Shakira's Dare (La La La) that was used as the second theme song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Shakira sang the theme twice before, in 2006 and again in 2010. In 2014, Germany beat Argentina 1-0 to clench their fourth title.

K'naan's Wavin' Flag is from his 2009 album, Troubadour. Coke chose the song as the promotional anthem for their marketing efforts during the 2010 FIFA World Cup hosted by South Africa. "Celebration Mix" distinguishes the World Cup version from another version used as a Haiti charity song.

The Time of Our Lives was recorded by Il Divo and featured Toni Braxton. It was used as the official theme for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, hosted by Germany, and can be found on Voices from the FIFA World Cup. That year, Italy beat France 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out to claim their fourth title.
