When Doves Cry was the first single released from the 1984 album, Purple Rain. It was Prince's first American number one single. Prince had written the song for the movie, Purple Rain.

The Gambler - Kenny Rogers
Written by Don Schlitz The Gambler was recorded by several artists, including Johnny Cash for the album Gone Girl, but it was Kenny Rogers’ version that hit #1 on country charts and crossed over to the pop charts, which was rare in 1978.

Green Aphrodisiac - Corinne Bailey Rae
Green Aphrodisiac is from Corinne Bailey Rae's album The Heart Speaks In Whispers, which is scheduled for release on May 13. This will be Bailey Rae's first release since 2011's The Love E.P.

Good Vibrations - Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch released Good Vibrations in 1991 on Music for the People. Loleatta Holloway provided the vocals. For the video Mark Wahlberg was coached by boxer Mickey Ward whom he later played in The Fighter.

Some Days You Gotta Dance is the eighth and final single from the 2001 album, Fly. It was previously recorded in 1997 by Keith Urban's band The Ranch. Urban played guitar for the Dixie Chicks' version.

Feeling Good was written for the 1965 Broadway musical The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd, but Nina Simone put the song on the map when she recorded it in 1965 for her album I Put a Spell On You.
