That's the Way Love Goes - Janet Jackson
From the album janet., That's the Way Love Goes is Janet Jackson's best selling song of all-time, won her a Grammy, and spent 8 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100. Like a moth to a flame, baby.

The Book of Love - The Monotones
The Monotones’ The Book of Love was inspired by the Pepsodent toothpaste commercial slogan "wonder where the yellow went." The "boom" part came after they heard a kid kicking a ball against the garage while they were rehearsing.

Hello, I Love You - The Doors
Hello, I Love You (1968) was written about a girl on Venice Beach. All song royalties, however, go to the Kinks' Ray Davies because courts ruled the Doors used the riff from All Day and All of the Night, though the Doors claim the song was inspired by Cream's Sunshine of Your Love.

Best of My Love - The Emotions
Best of My Love (1977) was composed by Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White and Al McKay and is a classic representation of the best of what 70s music offered, a feel-good dance and sing like no one's watching jam.
