Daylight Savings Time is ending, and we're mourning the coming loss with a tribute to all things daylight-related.

Spring Forward (Fall Back) - Hawgfoot Fred
Spring Forward (Fall Back) is a song about Daylight Saving Time. DST is the practice of advancing clocks in the summer and setting them back in the fall. Adjusting clocks to the sun is an ancient practice but seems antiquated today.

No Sunlight - Death Cab for Cutie
No Sunlight is from the sixth studio album from Death Cab for Cutie, Narrow Stairs. Released in 2008, four singles were released from Narrow Stairs, including No Sunlight, making it the best-selling album for the alternative rock band.

Daylight - Coldplay
Daylight is from A Rush of Blood to the Head, the second album from Coldplay, which was released in 2002 and won a Grammy for Best Alternative Album. Maroon 5 also has a song called Daylight from their 2012 album, Overexposed.

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers
Bill Withers wrote Ain't No Sunshine while working in an airplane factory making toilet seats. It was released in 1971 on the album, Just As I Am. Withers was inspired to write the song after watching the Days of Wine and Roses (1962).

Blister in the Sun - Violent Femmes
Released on their 1983 debut album, the Violent Femmes' Blister in the Sun has been used in advertising, TV shows, and movies, but it was a Wendy's commercial that brought on a lawsuit between band members.

Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra
Mr. Blue Sky is from ELO's seventh studio album, Out of the Blue (1977). Jeff Lynne said he wrote the song after a two-week bout of gloomy weather in Switzerland. When the sun came out, he wrote 14 other songs, in two weeks.

Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me was written by Elton John and his lyricist, Bernie Taupin for the 1974 album, Caribou. The 1991 in a live duet between Elton John and George Michael reached number 1 on both the U.S. and U.K. charts.
