Time in a Bottle is a single from Jim Croce's 1972 debut album, You Don't Mess Around With Jim. Croce wrote the song after his wife told him she was pregnant. Originally it wasn't intended to be a single, but ABC Records changed their mind after Croce died in a plane crash in 1973.

Time After Time was written and recorded by Cyndi Lauper for her debut album, She's So Unusual (1983). The song became Lauper's first No. 1 hit in the US and was nominated for a Grammy. The title came from a TV Guide Lauper had seen about the 1979 movie, Time After Time.

Rock Around the Clock was written by Max C. Freeman and Jimmy De Knight. Bill Haley & His Comets recorded a version in 1954 that hit the top of the US and UK charts. The song wasn’t the first in rock and roll history, but it is known as the one that brought the genre into the mainstream.

Time is the fourth track on Pink Floyd's 1973 album, The Dark Side of the Moon. The single was released in 1974 and is shorter than the album version. The album version has opening clock chimes, a long introduction, and was the last song credited to all four members of the group.
