Red's Surf Shop closes its hole for good.
After being in business for nearly three months, Red Cardinal's Surf Shop is closing its hole for good.
"There used to be some pretty killer waves in the bath one yard over," said Red Cardinal. "But the tide's been so low these past few weeks, I just can't afford the overhead."
Though the lack of rain has forced Cardinal out of business, it hasn't put a damper on his spirit.
"Starting my own business was a dream of mine, but sometimes even a good idea can't survive Mother Nature."
Cardinal doesn't know what he'll do next. "I'll go wherever the waves take me," he said.
With no rain in sight and soaring temperatures, looks like the waves won't be taking him very far any time soon.
